With his new single “good time,” New York singer-songwriter and producer christian medice delivers a refreshing piece of indie pop that balances nostalgia with genuine emotion. Known for his work behind the scenes with established artists, medice shows just how naturally his songwriting skills translate into his own music.
The track opens with warm, jangling guitars that immediately establish its laid-back character. Gentle vocals, a steady rhythm, and subtle electronic touches create a sound that feels both familiar and personal. There’s an appealing simplicity to the arrangement, allowing every musical detail to breathe without losing the song’s catchy momentum.
What I particularly appreciate about “good time” is how it acknowledges life’s uncertainties while encouraging listeners to enjoy the present. Rather than forcing happiness, medice approaches the subject with honesty, giving the song a relatable emotional depth.
The combination of thoughtful lyrics, tasteful production, and an effortlessly memorable melody makes this release especially enjoyable. “good time” is another convincing reminder of medice’s talent for turning everyday feelings into music worth revisiting.
