Elohim – Half Alive
Listening to “Half Alive” by Elohim, I find myself drawn into a fierce collision of emotion and rhythm her voice hovers, vulnerable yet unwavering, amidst glitch-laden beats and propulsive bass. From the opening lines she holds the listener’s attention with lyrical candour: the refrain “I want to be okay” becomes a mantra, not a plea. The production alternates between taut restraint and kinetic bursts, mirroring the inner unrest she addresses so candidly. In one moment the drums whisper, in the next they roar; throughout, her melodic sense anchors the track in a place of hopeful clarity. Elohim doesn’t shy away from the darkness she invites us to share it. This single doesn’t just occupy space in your playlist, it occupies the senses. It’s bold, it’s beautifully flawed, and I recommend it without reservation.
