Ezra Vancil has a gift for making music feel personal, and his single “In the Band,” featuring Cozi, offers another welcome addition to his growing catalog. Rooted in his folk and Americana background, the collaboration reflects the warmth and sincerity that have become central to his songwriting.
What makes this release particularly interesting is the connection between Vancil and his daughter, Cozi. Their musical partnership brings a family dimension to his work, giving listeners another reason to appreciate the stories behind his songs. Vancil has always approached songwriting with a strong sense of honesty, and that quality continues to make his music worth following.
I particularly admire how Vancil has built a musical identity around real experiences rather than chasing passing trends. There’s something refreshing about an artist who values meaningful storytelling and genuine collaboration.
“In the Band” is a lovely addition to Vancil’s musical journey and another reason to explore his work. For listeners who appreciate thoughtful songwriting, family connections, and the enduring appeal of independent Americana, this release deserves a place on their radar. It’s certainly a collaboration worth celebrating.
