Southern Pop Express pays tribute to one of music’s most influential figures with “It’s Your Song (John Lennon Tribute),” a single that celebrates John Lennon’s lasting place in popular music. Released on August 13, 2025, through Kissing Frog Records, the track runs for nearly five minutes, giving this musical dedication room to make its statement.
What makes this release particularly appealing is the idea behind it. Honoring an artist like Lennon comes with high expectations, but Southern Pop Express approaches the subject with clear admiration and respect. Rather than simply revisiting a famous name, the song invites listeners to think about the emotional connection people continue to have with his music.
Personally, I appreciate artists who acknowledge their influences while contributing something of their own, and this tribute deserves recognition for that intention. There is something genuinely touching about musicians celebrating the people who helped shape their creative journeys.
“It’s Your Song” is a thoughtful addition to Southern Pop Express’s catalog and a welcome dedication for listeners who continue to cherish Lennon’s musical legacy today.
