Ali George is known for his intricate guitar playing, his mellow, effortless vocals, and his honest, soulful songwriting. When he was six, his teacher advised his parents to buy him a guitar, as she had noticed he had become fascinated with one at school. At the age of ten, he was already writing songs and performing in a band. At sixteen he began performing solo, writing prolifically, and recording albums on his analog four-track at home. Many of his songs were inspired by the wild countryside around his home in the Mendips. This deep connection with nature continues in his songs today.
