Iris King – Through The Ceiling

London-based singer-songwriter Iris King delivers something special with her latest single, “Through The Ceiling,” released on September 18. Blending dreamy indie pop with heartfelt songwriting, King creates a song that feels both deeply personal and wonderfully uplifting.

Opening with gentle piano notes, the track gradually introduces warm synths, steady drums, and atmospheric textures that give the music a lovely sense of movement. King’s soft, expressive vocals carry the emotional weight beautifully, capturing the unpredictable shifts between confidence, uncertainty, and relief. There’s a natural honesty in her delivery that makes every moment feel genuine.

What I particularly love about “Through The Ceiling” is how effortlessly King turns complicated emotions into something so enjoyable to listen to. The production, handled by Blonder, gives her voice plenty of room while building toward a chorus that feels wonderfully freeing.

Following “I Did, I Will, I Do,” this release further highlights King’s talent for thoughtful, memorable pop music. “Through The Ceiling” is a charming, emotionally rich single that deserves a place on your playlist and confirms her growing promise as an artist worth following.
