Sam Olyott – On Your Own

Sam Olyott  shares his new amazing song ”On Your Own”. The lyrics and melodies mesh together perfectly and the chorus is so beautiful.  As in weightlessness, its arpeggios unfold a graceful rhythm with distant vaporous echoes. Sam reveals the poetry of tender beauty, his voice is a piece of art, it’s pure and rich, and his performance is very professional which shows how talented and skillful he is. So, for a captivating sweetness and charming breath, he catches our hearts under his vaporous and dreamy groove. Sam says, “‘On Your Own’ is my most vulnerable song to date, it’s the ending to a situation that was controlling my life for the longest time. This song feels like the perfect ending to that story.”

Sam first started busking in Liverpool’s city center when he was just 14 years old. He would head into town at 6 am with his dad to claim the best busking spot and would wait around outside until 10 am when shoppers finally started to flood into the area. 6 years on, you’ll still often find him on Church Street, giving impromptu performances to impressed passers-by. You might find him playing his own takes on recent hits alongside classic standards such as ‘Over The Rainbow’ or ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. His rendition of the latter became so well known locally that he was invited to perform as part of Liverpool FC’s community Christmas event inside the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand at Anfield.
