Byron-based artist Seph Cove released a new single titled “Give Me a Reason,” which showcases his poignant introspection on time, regret, and the persistence of past decisions. As in weightlessness, its arpeggios unfold a graceful rhythm with distant vaporous echoes. Seph Cove’s song defies gravity, ignoring time. “Give Me a Reason” captivates our hearts from the first seconds. The song opens with a simple guitar riff that sets the tone for the rest of the track. Having spent a year relearning himself away from the city, Melbourne-born, and Byron-based Seph Cove (Ben Steiner) is returning in 2023 with new music and new energy. His next project is ready to take it a step further. Incorporating a pace and an urgency, there is an expanded self-awareness that has been brought to light. The first single from his as yet unnamed third EP, ‘Higher Now’ is symbolic of Seph letting go of his inner demons and he invites listeners to do the same.
